Introduction:
The pragmatic facets like geography and history have always imprinted demographic mosaic and development of civilizations. the civilization have always developed along the water. Modern trade has increased the need of trade through water since back in ancient times of water trade route. Gawadar with 12634 Sq. Km area is a gateway to the strait of Hurmuz, a world's busiest strait which contributes one-third of world's oil transportation. Gwadar, due to its vital location and link to the outside world, plays an important role for regional and extra-regional players.
Gwadar sea port is located on Arabian sea in Baluchistan province of Pakistan. Pakistan Identified Gwadar as Port site as far back as 1954 when Gwadar was still under Omani rule. Pakistan's interest in Gwadar port started when, in 1954, it engaged the united states Geological Survey to conduct a survey of its coastline. The USGS deputed the surveyor, Worth Condrick, for the survey, who identified Gwadar as a suitable site for a seaport. After four years of negotiations, Pakistan Purchased the Gwadar enclave from Oman for US 3 million dollar on 8th September 1958 and Gwadar officially became part of Pakistan on 8th December 1958, after 200 years of Omani rule.

6. Gwadar would also handle maritime activities for central Asian countries.
7. Gateway to CARS ( central Asian states: Total Trade 20 billion dollar)
8.Provide facilities corresponding to the CPEC
9. it will serve as mother port for neighboring ports.
